Magnus Bane and comfrort items part Three

So this is really interesting post as Mangus is immortal and this plays into a lot of what he does in the Shadow world and we see that people are seeing that this plays into the ways the shadow hunters see him du to the fact that they aren’t great, at information sharing and there is a whole mantra in the Shadowhunters that they don’t interfere with downworlders affairs and down worlders are often seen as second class citizens that in previous eras,   and we see that   Mangus has seen the change in attitudes from downworlders needing to be “eliminated,” to controlled, and then the accords coming in.   Giving them there rights to self govern but we see that in the past shadow hunters downworlders for sport and this gave rise to fundamentalist thinking and this is what lead to the Circle and it was lead by Valentine and it shows how extremism can rise in any organization, But in bringing it back to Mangus the box has many happy memories as we see him fighting, in what seems to be   the

Magnus Bane and Comfort items Part one.

So this is going to focus on Magnus from the TV and book series shadow hunters, So as we are aware Mangus is a Warlock and the warlocks are immortal downworlders, the world is quite brutal world expands as there are Shadowhunters that are born to hunt demons and to help protect the world from demons and they live in what they call the shadow world and this world is quite a brutal world and even though it does have it’s own rules of engagement and equivalent to the Geneva convention, and human rights, the accords and we see that Magnus was at the signing of the accords and have seen things change over the centuries of both Shadowhunters and mundane attitudes towards down worlders or classes and the shadow hunters seem to follow this trend.  And there are a lot of differences between the shadow hunters and the down worlders but there is also a loss of relics that belong in this world.    Some through design and some through war and age, as we see in the books that there is a whole line o

Mangus Bane and the Deal, and similarities' to disablity decision making.

This is going to be a hard post to write, and I do wonder about how it shows people with disabilities are treated every day. We see that Alec is hiding his decisions from his mother he did talk about this to Izzy but we see she tried to talk him out about it.  So, in Alec making this deal we see that he sacrificed for Mangus out of love for him, we do see that people need to be aware of what is happening to people in their lives. We see that Asmodeus was quite manipulative in asking Alec to break up with Magnus.  He doesn't have Magnus's best interest at heart and we see that this does become an issue in that Magus was used by both the Shadowhunter, Vampires, and Asmodus we see that this all comes together and we see that Mangus was able to use humor as a tool to defuse bad situations but we see that when people start making decisions for him without him he gets angry and this is very common in disabilities we call it acting out, however when the person has some control in thei

The emotional impact of disability a overview. Part one

I have used Shadowhunters as I see more and more parallels to disability in this world, especially among the down-worlders. But I am talking more generally about disability, so the things that people say really minimize the impact of the disability on your life and even demonize you in the process. I see this in Magnus from shadow hunters mental health, that he is thought to be a demon and that all worlders ( for those who don’t follow the blog are a creature that is half human and half mundane, an offensive   term for humans that can see the shadow world depending o

The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare and others

Image
My thoughts on the Book continued and we see that it's an anthology of short stories that we see are unable to be separated. Detailing the life of Magnus Bane and we see that he has had a very rich and interesting life because he is immortal and we see that this is the very issue that he is immortal so he has all the time in the world and we see that he is unable to be separated into this because people need to have a beginning middle and end of their story.  However, we see that this is a challenge and I have often asked myself in the more mundane aspects of life if I could choose to be immortal with the powers that Magnus has would you do it?  Given that I live with disabilities I would choose to be healed from them but taking them away from me takes away a core part of who I am, and why I do this, I have a very early blog post that I will put up on my coming website, about Magnus losing his magic and will link it down below, I see that it's quite a complex question and it

The Bane Cronicles

So this is a bit of a shorter blog post about the Bane Chronicles, by Cassandra Clare and I see that we see this is an interesting concept as it is a collaboration with other authors as well.  as we see that as I have mentioned in other blog posts, we see that they can understand, what is happening, and Magnus is immortal. However, we see that he is interested in a way and we see more about the dynamics of the downward and this is interesting, that he is in the down world and he doesn't have a job.  But we see that he does consult, and in the original books he just procured what he needed. We see that he was an interesting character and we see that he doesn't need to work, as in the show he is portrayed as a child having a middle-class background living on a farm in the dutch east indies.  ( modern-day Indonesia)  )  Dutch East Indies - Wikipedia We see that one short story that stands out is the actual details of the circle and the uprising, so we see that the lightwoods Marys

Chain of gold a review part two.

Chain of gold.   A   continuing review.   I am finding that this book was a good read and reading it alongside the bane chronicles is a good thing as it gives context to what she is talking about and how we need to help around what is happening in the shadow hunter’s world. I also see a lot that is mirrored in our world and history as well, so in looking at what we are doing as a society to those who are vulnerable to abuse and neglect.     However, I did find that we are unable to see what happened once is happening again. So in looking at this we see that they are unable to see what is happening to a lot of people. So, what is happening in the book as the book isn’t set in the modern age it is set in London and Idris. (The shadow hunters’ spiritual home is a home that is complex in a way. As it is glamorized to be invisible to “Mundane's,”   It is a place where technology doesn’t work due to   Adamas [i] as a stone that makes it impervious to demons. We see that they want

The Bane Chronicles an over view

Hi all so I am going to cross-post the videos to the blog and I hope you all like them and that you enjoy them. I hope that you enjoyed me covering the Shadowhunter world.  I would like to thank everyone who got me to this stage both publicly and privately as well.  I will give the Videos by the end of next year to see how they go. But what do people think of the way we are able to see direct links to disability topics? What do people think and what other series should I cover as well, as it seems to be an issue that we aren't talking about and disability isn't a dirty word. I see that we should be able to express ourselves and not have to fight for the help we need.  I hope that as we continue this journey we can see a way forward to cover more content and disability content as well as broader topics around disability as well. So I have a lot planned out in this space and please if you can donate to Patreon please do as it would go back into the blog and content creation.

Chain of gold The last hours book one. a review.

So I have just finished this book and it is a great read however I am a little bit confused about what is happening in it as I have followed this series most of the way through. It has got me through some very dark times in my life. Because I live with several chronic illnesses and haven’t had what most people would consider a normal life.   (this being for a woman a job marriage and rising a family). I live with eleplisy, high functioning ADHD, and a TBI as well as shojrins syndrome that severely limits my “functional capacity,” this is complex at times because I don’t “look,” disabled and that I need care that others don’t see as care and it can be expensive to get the medical care I need and I am on the pension.     I have the luxury of being on the NDIS though, it is complex however to navigate the system and on my good days I would love to have a “normal,” life this is where this blog comes in talking about disability and how we see the world. I see books not as a Young ad

Mangus and Alec the start of a deep dive into their relationship.

I haven’t done a deep dive into Magnus’s and Alec’s for a while and I was quite green when I started blogging I haven’t done an in-depth look at this relationship except in the context of it being a place where both parties start to heal from trauma. So we see that they both have a massive amount of trauma in their lives and that they can recognize this and in a way we see that this is a good thing as some people including me have been in a very unhealthy relationships that turned out to be what we would call trauma bonds not love. Magnus’s last meaningful full relationship would have been with Camille Belcourt and that would have been an abusive relationship as she would manipulate him to do her bidding and we see that it was a very off-and-on relationship. [i] It essentially was coercive control of Magnus and this is more common than we would like to think with males it takes a very different look as it can happen when a relationship breaks down or he needs to be home straight
