Mia and what happens when you have a lack of support part 2

Mia and what happens when you have a lack of support part 2 We are now going to do a deep dive into Mia and what happens when you have a lack of support. We see that she is strong and independent but also that she didn’t get there alone and has gone through a lot. From her teen years until now she wasn’t cared for until Luke found her where she was found bitten by a werewolf (Jordan) and left to turn. This is difficult for her to process as it was her boyfriend (Jordan) who got bitten as well and he didn’t know how to tell her so simply ghosted her (he stopped communicating with her) and left her to turn alone. Even though he had stopped speaking to her, he started following and essentially stalking her until Mia told him to leave her alone. Jordan only actually left Mia alone once he had attacked her and bitten her then left her to turn. We see that she is strong and independent but also that she didn’t get there alone and has gone through a lot. From her teen years until no

Return to the shadows a review of the podcast.

S1E13 - Morning Star - Return to the Shadows with Katherine McNamara and Dominic Sherwood | Podcast on Spotify   So this is the podcast that I have been talking about and it’s interesting hearing from the actors themselves about what is going on behind the scenes and how things operated. So it’s a podcast that talks about what was happening behind the scenes when filming the TV adaption of Shadowhunters and we see that in the fandom there was a massive backlash about some elements that weren’t brought to life in the TV show however this podcast discusses the rights to the content and how things that worked in a book don’t work in a TV show due to things like ·        Budget they talk about the impact of the budget on the show and how keeping to a show’s budget is important to people. ·          Special effects also play into the budget, as well as things like this, can be expensive to do and if you don’t know how long a show is going to run it makes sense, to not have big budge

Clary and Jace and links to disablity culture.

This is going to be an interesting post to write as this clip is a follow-on from where Jace is possessed and Clary is trying to fix up the mess that she created in bringing him back from the dead and in bringing him back from the dead he was vulnerable to possession from Lilith and this being what happened to him he is under possession from Lilith and this is the mother of all demons and a person who can control demons. Clary Captures Jace And Is Then Arrested By The Clave! - Shadowhunters 3x07 'Hands On Your Head!' - YouTube   So in Clary not being brought up in the Shadow hunter’s world, she doesn’t have a lot of knowledge of demons and the world that they live in and how they act in the world as well as we see that there are a lot of mistakes that Clary makes in lying about what she has done when she knows that the clave possesses a   relic that can force people to tell the truth about a situation and to understand the world she needed to be brought up into that world.

Reaction to Jessica Kellgren-Fozard

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/bjKkovbGHJk This is such a  hot-button topic in the disability community and we see that it's an amazing thing we see that it needs to be discussed a lot more as doctors when they are going through medical school, are told not to self-diagnose, and to go to another doctor to get medication if they need it.  I find that as she mentions in the video that it's a great tool but not a substitute for proper medical care, and attention to detail. So what attention to detail do I mean, so by having a self-diagnosis we can start to treat the issue, but it can end up doing more harm than good so looking at what can be safely done is a good thing.  Also understanding your limits as well is amazing, we see that this can be an issue as well for many people, and your limits with finance as well can be an issue, however, we do see that people are living a great life at times. However, it is a great tool for learning about the possibility that you have something.

What is Media? a Deep dive into what it is in modern society.

What is media?  When I started this blog, I didn’t know what I was doing or how I was going to go. And I found myself at a loss of what to write about due to the NDIS (The National Disability insurance scheme) being such a hot-button topic at the time. However, I widened the scope to include media; focusing on disability representation and how disability is discussed in popular media.   This led me to think about the simple question What is MEDIA? This to me is a great question as it has changed in recent years, media is separated into several different categories: TV, Newspapers, Radio, Books, Magazines, and then Websites. Traditional media has a long history of bringing those in power to account for their actions in a democratic country the media should never be the enemy of the people, this is when it becomes propaganda.   A tool that has a long history of changing behaviours and mindsets to suit a narrative, of the organization or sponsor behind it, starting with the Catholic C

Isabelle lightwood and addiction part 4 - Shadowhunter's.

I have to be honest with my readers that in this post I have struggled with it as in a previous life I worked in a pharmacy that had a methadone program. Some of the stories I heard during that time are heartbreaking. (I also have a smartphone addiction that I am working on.)  However, this is going to focus on Izzy (Isabelle) Lightwood being stable and how someone in reality that has a chemical addiction can get help. As addiction can take many forms including but isn't limited to illegal drugs and alcohol. (let's talk about Magnus in another post 😉)  These clips focus on Izzy in season two where she is mostly in the recovery stage, from a Yen Fen addiction a substance that is akin to opioids in the additional sense that it was prescribed for her and she got addicted to it and started to seek it out leading to her having a co-dependent relationship with Raphaelle that was dependent on her for both of them getting high, Izzy off vampire venom and Raphaelle off shadow hunter bl

Isabelle Lightwood and Trauma part three - Shadowhunter's

(Please be aware that this post contains sensitive content around addiction and mental health issues)   So this is a continuation of the series on Izzy lightwood and trauma caused by the shadow world.  She is the Sister of Alec lightwood and Jace (who is adopted) I have talked briefly about their relationships and how this plays out, in the shadow world.   As this world is a perfect storm for creating trauma. Due to its nature and it is a great portrayal of trauma in some ways.    this sees her seeking the next fix without concern for her safety and the safety of those around her. Hitting rock bottom is a myth often it is the people you are around that force you to get help and this is why Raphael encourages her to sweat it out.  Rock bottom for Izzy is her going to the hotel de mort and threatening Raphael so the justifications, excuses the lies about where you are all symptoms of addiction.  The reality is that addiction is a disease and diseases have treatments. The treatment for Iz
