History of the instutions for the disabled in Austalia. A general overview Part one

History of institutions for the disabled, in Australia.   A general overview. So I have done a broad outline of what is the history of institutions for the disabled in Australia we don’t have a lot of broad information about disability and how it was thought about because Australia generally does follow the trends of London up until the 1900s and we started following the USA in a lot of things. However we see that one thing that has always been the same is how we cared for our disabled people, so we see that they generally were depending on the means that people had they lived with their families.   Or if they couldn’t they were taken to children’s homes and some still exist in some form however we see family-based care is much more prevalent, now as well.   As well as what is called supported independent living. If they didn’t they lived in an institution, so in Toowoomba, we had hameworth children at home and we had Bailey Henderson insane facility. [i] [ii]   Baily Hende

The Mark of Cain in Mythology.

The Mark of Cain in Mythology.    So this is a very unexpected post but I see that it needs to be taken seriously, to understand the mythology of the shadow hunters’ world we need to understand the judo Christian mythology, and this will focus on the Jewish Mythology as we often as a culture forget that Christianity grew out of Judaism and this is something that we need to remember when watching the show and the context of the show is they are enforcing the angel’s orders and that is why they have the Shadow hunters.   So the Mark of Cain was a punishment to cain and we know that Cain was the first vampire, he was cursed, to wander all of the earth, due to him not offering the proper sacrifices to god.   There is a debate if cain is the first vampire but we see in the shadow hunters we see, that the see It is assumed that he is and we see that he is suffering his fate from killing his brother, the drinking the blood can be seen in several different ways and I like to take the

Heavenly fire and dealing without consent part two

As we see in Chain of Gold, they mention that all the stories are true in a way that you might not suspect. So we see that there is a lot to deconstruct here as well and it is going to be quite interesting to link it back to disability and consent due to current health outcomes due to COVID as the Lockdowns people pause as it was the disability community saying essentially welcome to our world and it showed people what it is like to have your day to day reality controlled by someone else or to be dependent on others for what you need day to day and what happens if they can’t get there. So, it is this that I will go into more depth, and I will also do a post around how this affects the Down worlders as a whole as well as it changes the whole world the question is what makes you is it your personality or your actions?   How does your personality affect your actions and how do your actions change you if you don’t have something to aim at this would make you depressed and struck in the p

Heavenly fire and the consequence's of dealing without consent.

Heavenly fire and the consequences of dealing without consent This has been an interesting post to think about as it deals with some very heavy topics that are still very much hot-button topics in the disability community. So We see that Heavenly fire is an off-the-books clave program, that people have died for so we see that there is an issue with this at times as we discover it is a program that Aldertree is running very illegally.   Shadowhunters Season 3, Episode 17 | Helen Sabotages The Heavenly Fire Supply | Freeform - YouTube   As we discover he is Just as bad as the valentine in that he wants to rid the world of down worlders and we see that he is trailing it to put it into the water supply in NY and that this would then clans NY and then the world as the Shadow hunters have the time and resources to do so to clans the world of down world. But we do see that it is “off the books,”  and discovered by Izzy and when she is aided by Simon we see that the clave is expe

About me and my story.

I guys so as I say in the video I can't sustain the blog on my own as I am in my own unit and not with the parent so I am starting a Patreon, page and looking at making this my job and not a hobby.  As currently it has been a hobby but I would love to have it as a job.  As many people with disabilities are disadvantaged in the "traditional," job market so I would love to have this as not only a blog but a podcast and a youtube channel as well however I can't do that without your support and that means sharing, the blog, commenting and if you can support my patron.   I am currently looking at taking on a part-time job in the market to sustain the blog and myself as I want to get off the disability pension and onto a paycheck as I feel that I have a lot I could give to a traditional employer.   I am also open to new content to talk about so please let me know what you think about the video formats as well.   So guys the Pateron link is  patreon.com/annielnunn1   I wil

Mia and what happens when you have a lack of support part one.

We are now going to do a deep dive into Mia and what happens when you have a lack of support. We see that she is strong and independent but also that she didn’t get there alone and has gone through a lot. From her teen years until now she wasn’t cared for until Luke found her when  she was found bitten by a werewolf (Jordan) and left to turn. This is difficult for her to process as it was her boyfriend (Jordan) who got bitten as well and he didn’t know how to tell her so simply ghosted her (he stopped communicating with her) and left her to turn alone. Even though he had stopped speaking to her, he started following and essentially stalking her until Mia told him to leave her alone. Jordan only actually left Mia alone once he had attacked her and bitten her then left her to turn. We see that she is strong and independent but also that she didn’t get there alone and has gone through a lot. From her teen years until now she wasn’t cared for until Luke found her where she was fo

Support orgnizations and day programs.

I live with disabilities and receive limited support through an Australian program called the NDIS ( National Disability insurance program.) at its core and at the time of its inception was designed to improve the lives of people with disabilities, to live " more normal lives,"  This required the establishment of what are called support organizations, and support workers. I asked a person who is a support worker to write about what a good support worker is. This is now what a bad support worker working with people in a vulnerable state can do.  I have heard stories and would love people to email me, or comment about what they have experienced good and bad.  Convince people to enroll in programs and training courses that benefit them and not others  Talk to medical professionals and convince them of unnecessary medical treatments.  To promise what isn't realistic for that person, and tell the person that they just need to try harder.  To have day programs that are a side p
