The internet and the Mainstream media my thoughts on them losing more control to the internet.

[i] This is such a great thing to see as for far too long the Mainstream media has had a stranglehold on what was said and could ruin a person if they didn’t politically agree with the station’s political interests. With the introduction of the Internet, we see that this has been a disrupter but that the internet has its own set of politics and this is a tech that in terms of human development is only a teen and so we don’t know what the long term consequences will be of the internet.   As we do see that it does improve the lives of people with a disability in terms of being able to communicate and see themselves represented in terms of YouTube or to even play the long game with YouTube and have content creation become a job. However, we do see that it’s not without risk as you are much more vulnerable as we have recently seen that the laws around data security haven’t been updated, as well so in the Optus test case we see that this could change the game as it puts a price on Data

Killing disability inspiration porn

This explains a lot in a short way about living with a disability, it shows how we are seen as people to be pitied, or to serve as an inspiration to make you feel better about yourself and to see what is happening within the disability community, we see that it's a massive thing to do and to see what is happening. These paid actors flipped the switch and I hope that this shows that it's ok for people to want to help but you need to be asking how it is OK that this happens to disabled people all the time and that it shouldn't be happening.  How it happens is a big thing as well, so it's a society thing as well.  It makes sense that it's a social thing and we see that this is the issue with it. However I question why did it take switching the roles for a non-disabled  person in a majority of the disabled community to be able to see what is happening, it is what we call inspiration porn and that to treat him like that was so stereo typical of what happens with people w

Reaction to Jessica Kellgren-Fozard

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/bjKkovbGHJk This is such a  hot-button topic in the disability community and we see that it's an amazing thing we see that it needs to be discussed a lot more as doctors when they are going through medical school, are told not to self-diagnose, and to go to another doctor to get medication if they need it.  I find that as she mentions in the video that it's a great tool but not a substitute for proper medical care, and attention to detail. So what attention to detail do I mean, so by having a self-diagnosis we can start to treat the issue, but it can end up doing more harm than good so looking at what can be safely done is a good thing.  Also understanding your limits as well is amazing, we see that this can be an issue as well for many people, and your limits with finance as well can be an issue, however, we do see that people are living a great life at times. However, it is a great tool for learning about the possibility that you have something.

What is Media? a Deep dive into what it is in modern society.

What is media?  When I started this blog, I didn’t know what I was doing or how I was going to go. And I found myself at a loss of what to write about due to the NDIS (The National Disability insurance scheme) being such a hot-button topic at the time. However, I widened the scope to include media; focusing on disability representation and how disability is discussed in popular media.   This led me to think about the simple question What is MEDIA? This to me is a great question as it has changed in recent years, media is separated into several different categories: TV, Newspapers, Radio, Books, Magazines, and then Websites. Traditional media has a long history of bringing those in power to account for their actions in a democratic country the media should never be the enemy of the people, this is when it becomes propaganda.   A tool that has a long history of changing behaviours and mindsets to suit a narrative, of the organization or sponsor behind it, starting with the Catholic C

Alec and Jace Parabaiti part two Shadowhunter's.

Trigger warnings for talking about self-harm This is a continuation of the series about Jace and Alec as I seemed to find that I didn't think I had a good handle on this relationship. It seems to be so complex and again when Clary comes into the world things change for everyone so we see that Jace was in with Izzy about the mission to save Melorne a Seeley  from the city of bones, and we see that Alec can't control his anger towards Jace as Part of the vow that they took was, to be honest with each other and Jace has been lying to Alec he has been going behind his back putting the institute at risk and at this point, Lydia is in charge so Alec is feeling frustrated lost, and angry at his closest friend essentially ditching him for a girl that he barely knows. We see that Jace knows that Alec was in love with him and that under all of that masking he is scared. However, this is the point where Alec is straight down the line and will act by the Law as we know that the shadow hunt

Alec and Jace Parabatai bond; a lesson in Male friendship.

So this post is the start of another series looking at this relationship when I did the research for this post I found out that there are parallels in most religious communities to prevent social isolation. Not the supernatural bonds but people who have chosen to work together, to go to bat for each other as well.  This bond most similar is when Mormons go on missions, as they are together the whole time. Yet this bond in the show is quite complex as we see that it is a rare thing to have a Parabatai and something to be celebrated, yet like most religious communities and couplings they have rules around it, one of the most well-known is that they can't fall in love or else they can become too powerful and become the Nephilim of the old testament, the angels that carry out the wrath of God, yet it is an indiscriminate punishment.  Yet we do see that there is an argument over the translation of what this means and it could mean fallen warriors making the argument for the reality of h

Maryse Lightwood - Shadowhunters A lesson in progression and grace Part one.

Image
Maryse Lightwood is the Mother of Alec and Isabelle lightwood and the adopted mother of Jace, who was left in the Lightwood family's care at 10 years of age. In the first and second seasons is married to Robert lightwood and they are the heads of the New York institute.  This clip show's us how Maryse is in the first season very " no-nonsense," her body language and dress show that she means business. This is a very authoritative personality style that ties into her role in the show which is as the head of an institute. It shows us how she conducts her everyday life.  It also tells us that they are mostly away at Idris most of the time and leave Alec in charge. ( This is a variation from the books we see that because they are teens that Hodge their tutor is  their guardian.)    She is very domineering and demanding to Izzy and Alec but very compassionate to Jace. ( I will do a post on him being the "golden child").   As Clary says it shows a window into the

Isabelle lightwood and addiction part 4 - Shadowhunter's.

I have to be honest with my readers that in this post I have struggled with it as in a previous life I worked in a pharmacy that had a methadone program. Some of the stories I heard during that time are heartbreaking. (I also have a smartphone addiction that I am working on.)  However, this is going to focus on Izzy (Isabelle) Lightwood being stable and how someone in reality that has a chemical addiction can get help. As addiction can take many forms including but isn't limited to illegal drugs and alcohol. (let's talk about Magnus in another post 😉)  These clips focus on Izzy in season two where she is mostly in the recovery stage, from a Yen Fen addiction a substance that is akin to opioids in the additional sense that it was prescribed for her and she got addicted to it and started to seek it out leading to her having a co-dependent relationship with Raphaelle that was dependent on her for both of them getting high, Izzy off vampire venom and Raphaelle off shadow hunter bl
