This is a post that will focus on the relationship within the Shadow hunter's family the lightwood this is focusing on the development of the relationship that Alec has with his mother, as it goes from a very toxic and demanding one to one of two fully emotionally developed adults.   As Maryse goes through a road to Damascus moment, in her life in being de ran, and essentially excommunicated from the shadow hunters and she needs help to adjust the person who helps her to do this is Magnus as he is going through a tough time himself, and this gives Maryse pause for thought in how she has treated people and her own family. This is a continuation of a series I am doing on the relationships in the shadow world, as I see that it can cause trauma and help heal trauma as we see that it's not only the young shadow hunters that grow up and face their reality it is everyone in the Shadow world. As well as the fact that the Show and books have left a lasting legacy, not just fandom but the "Shadow family," I admit that I am not the typical age for Young Adult content but I grew up with the books and the reality is they and the shows dealt with a lot of real-world issues, and we are finding that a lot of people like young adult content in books and shows anyway as it is a way to connect with the younger people in there lives. So this is a post that I have really wanted to do for a while as we start to see Alec stand up to people in his life and standing up to your family is the hardest thing that you will do especially as a person with a disablity. As they want to protect you but you want to be challenged yourself to live your best life. However what that life is is different for everyone even without a disablity due to the decisions they made and the circumstance's that they where born into.
