We see that Jace knows that Alec was in love with him and that under all of that masking he is scared. ( Warning this post contains talk about self-harm)  This is a promised post that is about the Lightwood family being dysfunctional, as we see that Robert is an absent father as we see that he hasn't provided Alec a lot of guidance in his life and we see that this isn't a great thing. As even when we are an adult we need guidance to be able to trust our parents, and advice. Yet we do see a lack of trust in the whole Lightwood family as a whole is very dysfunctional and this plays into every relationship shown in were and books (However, my focus is mainly on the Show), And how neglectful Parenting can leave people with a lot of physical and emotional damage. So this post is the start of another series looking at this relationship when I did the research for this post I found out that there are parallels in most religious communities to prevent social isolation. Not the supernatural bonds but people who have chosen to work together, to go to bat for each other as well.  This bond most similar is when Mormons go on missions, as they are together the whole time. Yet this bond in the show is quite complex as we see that it is a rare thing to have a Parabatai and something to be celebrated, yet like most religious communities and couplings they have rules around it, one of the most well-known is that they can't fall in love or else they can become too powerful and become the Nephilim of the old testament, the angels that carry out the wrath of God, yet it is an indiscriminate punishment.  Yet we do see that there is an argument over the translation of what this means and it could mean fallen warriors making the argument for the reality of h

 Disability M edia and Mental health.  This topic is one that I didn't expect there to be such a lack of information around the way mainstream media portrays mental health.  There is some great representation as producers and actors that have sway realize that as they have made strides in representation in diversity in character there is still a long way to go, in representation.  I  know that some production companies are doing a great job in representation however most TV shows and movies simply need to make money if they don't have the following they can't continue.  One shows that I have been following and have seen several clips that some amazingly talented people have uploaded to YouTube that have won awards for diverse representation.   This clip from YouTube shows one of the main character's being what one of the commenters pointed out is everyone in his life is mean to him and until he meets someone who becomes very close to him he doesn't really stand up f
