The Shadow world and disablity links the Clave.

This is a follow-up post to the post on real-world evil, so we see that there was a lot wrong with the Circle and we see that there was a lot that the older generation kept from their children about the circle and the uprising as they didn’t want it to happen again. Yet we know that by telling people about their history and culture we understand that they can see that in the real world we are educated on history to try and understand it and we now start to understand it and see it as well.     As the shadow hunters suppressed the knowledge of the uprising and we that this could have prevented a lot of issues if they were able to talk about it freely. I can see the arguments for both sides around this if you talk about it we see that people around you could help prevent it from happening again but we see that suppressing this knowledge is a risk that backfires and helps radicalize people and turn them into fanatics and this is an issue that deserves its post about how the internet

The Clave and A look at real world history.

This has been an interesting post to write and work on as it shows how much real-world history is involved in the clave and the Shadow world and I have had some interesting debates with people about what the clave is like and if it is a good or bad organization and we have found some good and bad about it as we see that it’s essentially a military organization and it’s at times authoritarian and at times democratic in that influences in the families that are enforced, and that the families that run the institute can give missions or take volunteers for them.   However, from what I understand the accords are basically like a peacekeeping treaty and the Shadow hunters enforce them.   But the circle is a very interesting concept as it and the uprising have very stark parallels to history.    Where we have an organization within an organization. The most obvious one is the rise of the [i] Nazi party in Germany leading into World War two as people forget that Hitler was democrati

So this post has been in the works for a while and I had to do a deep dive into a book that I was aware of due to some documentaries I watched on History yet it was a very horrific read and some of these dialogues could have been taken straight out of the history books, at  0.20 of this clip we see Izzy say “ that everyone has a chose Alec, and I made mine.”  This was interesting as it shows that she was willing to risk her life for a Seely as she knew that this Seely was innocent and by Lydia sending him to the city of bones we see that he would not make it out alive. So she got a team together to rescue him and it was a mixed team of down worlders and shadow hunters as we see the alliances start to form in this episode, we see that Alec isn’t willing to risk his plans as it is because of Clary that a lot of this has happened.   But knows that he needs to get an advocate for his sister, and we see that the Clave has a lot to answer for in a lot of ways it seems to be very totalitarian
