Magnus and the other downworlders - The Seelie Queen.

Magnus is a warlock and has very complex relationships with the other down worlders these being the creatures that are in the shadow world but have demon blood in them and therefore are considered to be what the Shadowhunters call down worlders and they see the shadow world very differently due to being long-lived or immortal.  However, with Mangus, he has to play the long game due to his being immortal. He sees the long game as does the Seely queen. The queen has a very different relationship to Magnus in the books the current Seelie queen united the two courts, the Unseelie and the Seelie court they united to have a child.

This stopped the war that the Shadowhunters in Londen stopped due to one of the blackthorns being part Seele and we see that this does become an issue in the books we see that Mark and Kiren often are put between the two worlds due to this and we see that this can become an issue as well due to Mark being punished with having to join the wild hunt and it was the unsealed court that had the wild hunt and a court that moved from faire realm to realm and they were tricked by the shadow hunter to having a child to bring both the courts together.

This child is the current queen and has been taught to see the long game, as does Magnus and one ongoing question I have is how Magnus became the high warlock of Brooklyn. As he seems to have a very different aurora around him in the show to the books. In the show, it is mentioned that he loses his position due to him making some decisions to side with the Seelie queen and this doesn't end well for him as he loses the position that was so valued to him and starts consulting again.

These clips show that Magnus has a long history and that he has a very compassionate side but it's masked because of the way many people treat him.

Yet he seems to know the Seely queen and be willing to side with her due to the way that the clave has treated the downworlders and even Alec as keeping secrets from Magnus. When they were a couple Magnus doesn't take being disrespected lightly, so we see this in the way that Mangus can change Alliances when things about the clave come out.

He is also able to make his own decisions but doesn't seem to know how that affects others and how this does affect them. It seems that he does have a good heart but it is closed off for a reason and we discover that it is because he is used to being used and this is why he sides with the Seelie Queen when they see that the clave has lied to him and how Alec hasn't been honest with him.  We see that this was a protection issue for him as well and we see that people need to be aware of this when working with him.

We see that the Seelie queen wants to change and is willing to get it this is one thing that Magnus didn't expect, is that she is willing to go to war to get it, and this is not great as Magnus would have lived through world war two.

In the show, Magnus seems to be the glue that settles alliance's between the various factions of the down world as they seem to take lead from Alec in having a cabinet meeting to sort out Alliances and disputes between the down world.

This cabinet seems to have its ups and down but in the end, seems to work well, for them as it opens up communication between the Clave and the down world, and because of where the characters end up it seems to work as Alec says it is a work in progress.

In these clips, I seem to see parallels between disability and the working world, as the Shadowhunters don't really realize what the downworlders go through to get through the day and this is how a lot of people with disability feel, that it takes a lot to get through the day and even unexpected events like a transformation of a werewolf seems to be very similar to needing to get urgent blood tests or being disorganized as a way of life. Because you didn't see that you needed things or forms filled out.
