Harry Shum jr and his work


So I have done some posts about Harry Shum jr and I was talking to someone about him and they only knew him as the guy from glee.  This man is so much more and I feel like that this needs to change as he is such a talented and hard working actor, I am focusing on Shadowhunter's as I haven't had time to see much of his current projects. 

However he has done a lot for the Asian American community and even the wider community by doing virtual events and things to keep us amused during what was a painful time for a lot of people. I see that  he is an amazing actor, dancer and quietly mentor to people who are becoming up and coming actors and even people who are starting a second career in the arts. 

The role that I think most people would know him for would be either Glee or Shadowhunters. He is an amazing dancer as well and his colleges when he was filming Shadowhunter's were terrified that they would have to dance with him. This being Matthew Daddario, but they where able to pull of an amazing sequence. 

He at the time of filming Shadowhunter's did really respect the role and the weight of it as the character was a break out trope of not being ashamed of who he is or his past, this won them awards for representation on screen and it is showing a generation what respect in a relationship looks like as it was a very real situation where there is an age difference and a power difference due to there positions, as charcters.

He has admitted he is shy in reality however this is a strength of his not a weakness and I see that some of his colleges and friends see this as well, as he has never been caught in any Hollywood scandal's, and this is a good thing some of his colleges has and his colleagues what ever project he is working on seems to really respect him and his lifestyle, being able to have the balance of social media and privacy he seems to command respect from the press and the fans of what project he is in,  this clip explains it well. Harry Shum Jr. x Timid - YouTube

Why I can't learn to love my disablity

  Why I can’t learn to love my disability My Disability is a part of me yet I can’t learn to love it, but I can learn to accept it. To accept that I will always be different. Be the person who will never have a normal life and whose family will get frustrated with me, because I used to be able to do so many things for myself, but now I can’t and will need support for the rest of my life. I can’t love it because of the way my life has played out, I can’t be an inspiration because it does hold me back in ways that frustrate me and my family as we always thought I could live a normal life, but I am coming to the realization I can’t and that this will impact me and everyone in my life. What a support worker can do for you and what the can't part one my story with support

 I need people to be aware that this blog post is from my lived experience as a person with a disability.  It is something that we do need to talk about is that I have talked at length about it in other blog posts so it needs to be talked about this is what a support worker can and can’t do for someone and this is a difficult topic to be objective about for me because I have had very poor care and at the same time fantastic care.  I can’t seem to reconcile the two together as it has kept me off balance for a long time, but a support worker is there to help you to be more independent and not less independent and we see that this can be a massive issue if a person doesn’t know what good support work looks like.  Or is unable to define what their limits are for a support worker working with challenging clients.  This could potentially be quite dangerous due to a person not being able to speak up due to experiences with support workers in the past and this is where the support worker n
