Jorden Peterson - On the Bible

Image
So this is such an interesting clip and I have lost track of how many times I have watched it. However, I love what it is saying and it links into the shadowhunter's content I have worked on some well as it says that the stories are true but not in a way that we would expect as in finding physical evidence to suggest what happened is their however it does suggest that we need to be aware that there are cultures where truth was passed down in stories and legends.  It wasn't a truth of their past but an explanation of why things are the way they are.  As well as oral history and this is amazing as we see that when we look deeper into the stories we see that people seem to be aware that there is such a thing as objective truth and this objective is what needs to be challenged and heard as we see that many people have challenged the catholic church but what we need to remember is any organization is only as good as the people within it, and this shows in a way with the Shadow hunte

History of the instutions for the disabled in Austalia. A general overview Part one

History of institutions for the disabled, in Australia.   A general overview. So I have done a broad outline of what is the history of institutions for the disabled in Australia we don’t have a lot of broad information about disability and how it was thought about because Australia generally does follow the trends of London up until the 1900s and we started following the USA in a lot of things. However we see that one thing that has always been the same is how we cared for our disabled people, so we see that they generally were depending on the means that people had they lived with their families.   Or if they couldn’t they were taken to children’s homes and some still exist in some form however we see family-based care is much more prevalent, now as well.   As well as what is called supported independent living. If they didn’t they lived in an institution, so in Toowoomba, we had hameworth children at home and we had Bailey Henderson insane facility. [i] [ii]   Baily Hende

The emotional impact of disability a overview. Part one

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4981013962895893" crossorigin="anonymous"></script> This is something that we need to talk about and I am not talking about what the professionals call a Psychosocial disability , [i] which is created by a mental health condition or a disorder like Adhd or Autism spectrum disorder. I have used Shadowhunters as I see more and more parallels to disability in this world, especially among the down-worlders. But I am talking more generally about disability, so the things that people say really minimize the impact of the disability on your life and even demonize you in the process. I see this in Magnus from shadow hunters mental health, that he is thought to be a demon and that all worlders ( for those who don’t follow the blog are a creature that is half human and half mundane, an offensive   term for humans that can see the shadow world depending o

The pension and the issues to get on it,

Jake Lawes’ Disability Support Pension application declined despite being a double amputee | 7NEWS This is a really interesting article to look at and it shows again how people with disabilities are seen by society. As the afterthought and being a double amputee. Is a massive physical disability, it is a risk to many workplaces, but this is the issue though, with the rise of work-from-home jobs and the NDIS does he have the capacity to rebuild for some level of work?  I see in the article that he doesn't really have the capacity to work, so the pension is the best option for him but I see that the fight is not fair on him as well, as I I know that I had to fight to get on the pension myself as it does have medical as well as nonmedical rules as well so the rules do change and this is where my line of thinking comes into it about can he do some part-time work.    It's a very difficult concept but it shows that we are able to move forward as a society if we do have the right su

Medical Mistakes and the cost to people with a disability.

I was writing an article on Medical bias it will be on my website and not the blog and we see that it can be very hard to spot due to the way medicine is taught, however, we do see that there is a growing awareness of disabilities as we have seen in Australia and the developed world we see that people with disabilities are often seen as the afterthought, or even it is seen that as an adult we can be spoken to and for this also now comes into medical bias. https://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/doctors-pants-fell-down-regularly-coworker-complained-of-being-left-shaking/news-story/96ceb43547057c37a6a2ad1b01a5fc52   But as we see in this article it does become more complex than this as there is a culture of cover-ups in hospital systems due to the lack of investment in hospitals and a lack of support staff as well. However, we do know that doctors and medical treatments have been targeted toward a very specific group. This being white males women and people with disabiliti

The internet and the Mainstream media my thoughts on them losing more control to the internet.

Image
[i] This is such a great thing to see as for far too long the Mainstream media has had a stranglehold on what was said and could ruin a person if they didn’t politically agree with the station’s political interests. With the introduction of the Internet, we see that this has been a disrupter but that the internet has its own set of politics and this is a tech that in terms of human development is only a teen and so we don’t know what the long term consequences will be of the internet.   As we do see that it does improve the lives of people with a disability in terms of being able to communicate and see themselves represented in terms of YouTube or to even play the long game with YouTube and have content creation become a job. However, we do see that it’s not without risk as you are much more vulnerable as we have recently seen that the laws around data security haven’t been updated, as well so in the Optus test case we see that this could change the game as it puts a price on Data

Ecco Park Episode 5

Ecco Park Podcast   Episode 5 6. Intermetamorphosis • Echo Park (spotify.com)   This is a great podcast and we are starting to see that the podcast is gaining massive traction and the plot is picking up traction. We are seeing that the Clones where researched and genes where manipulated towards explosive anger.   We see that James Clone is able to get hold of the research and get his way into the labs that they had in working with Clones. His source is unable to wake up as he is a drug addict due to the pressure that his parent’s have put on him to achive he works for the LA PD as a consultant. Being a migrant James does experience is very similar to most people of Asian descent they pressured by their families to be high achievers this is a cultural phenomenon that we see play out in many in many tropes across the media, in having a look at Ecco Park, we say that it is produced by Harry Sean junior an actor of agent descent that has had this experience he is now able to adv

Killing disability inspiration porn

Image
This explains a lot in a short way about living with a disability, it shows how we are seen as people to be pitied, or to serve as an inspiration to make you feel better about yourself and to see what is happening within the disability community, we see that it's a massive thing to do and to see what is happening. These paid actors flipped the switch and I hope that this shows that it's ok for people to want to help but you need to be asking how it is OK that this happens to disabled people all the time and that it shouldn't be happening.  How it happens is a big thing as well, so it's a society thing as well.  It makes sense that it's a social thing and we see that this is the issue with it. However I question why did it take switching the roles for a non-disabled  person in a majority of the disabled community to be able to see what is happening, it is what we call inspiration porn and that to treat him like that was so stereo typical of what happens with people w

Ecco Park a review and looking at the links to disablity culture.

4. Hero Complex - Echo Park | Podcast on Spotify So this is a really interesting podcast and I am getting into it. To me, it harks back to the days of the old school radio plays, that we see had great writing and this does as well. We are seeing what can only be considered to be culture clashes and a lack of understanding of the culture that the clones live in. We see that James discovers that Terrence has been hiding things from him just like he is hiding things from Terrance. I see that this is an interesting issue because their relationship was always based on a mutual understanding’s situation.     But we see that there is conflict when there isn’t all the information put on the table. It does become a transactional relationship and this does put a strain on things in the relationship as James is essentially using his clone to keep his job as he is an addict, it’s a way of him “checking out of his life,” I see that it would be much better to deal with the situation he is in

What do we really mean when we say person centred care.

Image
Image by  Gerd Altmann  from  Pixabay   (This is all my own views and links are included in the blog please get professional advice on your situation)  What is person-centered care in the disability approach?   So we need to start out by saying that there are several approaches to disability care and they have very different world views attached to them, the first one is the medical model of disability that says that we are broken and that we should be cured and that then we can contribute to the world.   The second one is the social model of disability which says that it is the society that disables us and that we need to be aware of this and that by fixing some things in society the disability will have less impact and it also makes people aware that disability isn’t something to be feared it is just a way of being, and that disability impacts people in very different ways as well.   So this is where the person-centered approach comes from and we see that this is an offsh
