Magnus and the Down world Relationships.  This is a continuation of Magnus's relationships and how he is very well connected to the Down world. It focuses on Asmodeus who we discover is his father. We also discover that Alec is relieved that it wasn't one of his exes. As we see that is why Magnus is so powerful as his magic comes from a prince of hell, which is mentioned in most of the    Abrahamic religions. Very early on in the show, we realize that it is set in a very Judeo -Christian world yet we see that angels are almost worshiped.  So Asmodeus being mentioned is a very real way of tying this into what we can see as a mirror of the real world.  I am talking about several clips and how Magus relates to his father and the difficulties they have as adults trying to reconnect when one is more concerned about power than balancing it with compassion.  Shadowhunters 3x02 | Magnus tells Alec about his father - YouTube  This clip shows Magnus and Alec working really well together

This is a continuation of a series I am doing on the relationships in the shadow world, as I see that it can cause trauma and help heal trauma as we see that it's not only the young shadow hunters that grow up and face their reality it is everyone in the Shadow world. As well as the fact that the Show and books have left a lasting legacy, not just fandom but the "Shadow family," I admit that I am not the typical age for Young Adult content but I grew up with the books and the reality is they and the shows dealt with a lot of real-world issues, and we are finding that a lot of people like young adult content in books and shows anyway as it is a way to connect with the younger people in there lives.   'Shadowhunters' Star Harry Shum Jr Reveals Details of the Final Season - YouTube   , Harry has done a lot for breaking down stereotypes and pushing back in writers rooms and he has said that it is challenging to have those conversations and take that risk but it is happening. We are also seeing this happen with who get's roles and how post Covid people are auditioning for the roles, so things like a zoom interview's, that eliminates stress, or recruiting people who do "shipping"  and post them on   YouTube for post production.  I remember seeing a clip where he was talking about Mike in  Glee, and pushing back about  the jokes as if they are on TV it is going to be seen as ok  to make the same jokes in reality.   In Shadowhunter's,  he has talked about how it was such a fun role yet challenging for him as they said they don't own the charcters as they are based on the charcters created by Cassandra Care in the book series.
