There are participants trying to understand what their options are. There are families supporting loved ones through uncertainty. There are support workers helping people achieve their goals. What is person-centred care in the disability approach? So we need to start out by saying that there is several approaches to disability care and they have very different world views attached to them, the first one is the medical model of disability that says that we are broken and that we should be cured and that then we can contribute to the world. The second one is the social model of disability which says that it is the society that disables us and that we need to be aware of this and that by fixing some things in society the disability will have less impact and it also makes people aware that disability isn’t something to be feared it is just a way of being, and that disability impacts people in very different ways as well. So this is where the person-centered approach comes from and we see that this is an offshoot of the social model of disability and that this is where we see that it is fundamentally different in peoples view’s in that if the person has a care...

The Clave and A look at real world history.

This has been an interesting post to write and work on as it shows how much real-world history is involved in the clave and the Shadow world and I have had some interesting debates with people about what the clave is like and if it is a good or bad organization and we have found some good and bad about it as we see that it’s essentially a military organization and it’s at times authoritarian and at times democratic in that influences in the families that are enforced, and that the families that run the institute can give missions or take volunteers for them. However, from what I understand the accords are basically like a peacekeeping treaty and the Shadow hunters enforce them. But the circle is a very interesting concept as it and the uprising have very stark parallels to history. Where we have an organization within an organization. Magnus and Blackfriars bridge.

So Magnus I have written about before is a very complex character both in the books and in the show. He is the son of a demon and a prince of hell. He can perform complex magic as is seen as a threat by the other warlocks, because of his power's. In the books he has a different life story to the show and there was a want from the actor that played Magnus to explore the charcters backstory and how this is amazing for the show if it was to be continued, in various ways. ( This being Harry Shum jr) Magnus being a very complex character in the books we don't seem to see much of in the show his powers but one thing is that his realtionship with mental health is an interesting one to look at as, he is immortal. This is a variation from the books as Clary was the one that gave Simon the mark of Cain, in the show, it is the Seely queen. ( The Queen of the faeries) This is such a great variation and ties into the Relationship in the show that shows the complexity of this world, it is a great example of all the legends that are true. The mark of Cain has been shown in various ways in media as well as in history books as we are starting to see most legends are based on some type of truth or a person's misfortune. We see that the Seely queen thinks that this is a blessing, but it is a curse, as again my lens is a disability and it seems that people who see people living on a government income is a great way to live, yet it isn't as most people with a disability live in poverty or have to rely on charities at time's weather that be family or friends or formal charities. As he knows the Shadow World and where did the deep mistrust come from as in the books he has had Shadowhunters living with him and him actively working with the Clave in the past. ( Warning this post contains talk about self-harm) This is a promised post that is about the Lightwood family being dysfunctional, as we see that Robert is an absent father as we see that he hasn't provided Alec a lot of guidance in his life and we see that this isn't a great thing. As even when we are an adult we need guidance to be able to trust our parents, and advice. Yet we do see a lack of trust in the whole Lightwood family as a whole is very dysfunctional and this plays into every relationship shown in were and books (However, my focus is mainly on the Show), And how neglectful Parenting can leave people with a lot of physical and emotional damage. This is a post that I have hesitated to write but it needs to be written as we see that many providers have there own take on this but there is very little written about when it comes to a clients perspective. So it is how to get the best out of your NDIS plan. So this is written entirely from a clients point of view. The first thing is know what you will and won’t accept in regards from providers as many will talk about person centred care but from that first phone call, you will know how you are going to be treated so are they willing to return a phone call, this is the first indication of how they will treat you in an on going basis.
